The writing coach estimates reading level and flags common grammar patterns, long sentences, and possible unclear thoughts. Hover or tap a highlight to review an available fix. Undo any change with Cmd/Ctrl+Z.
Automated checks help with patterns; they cannot judge your meaning, facts, or every grammar issue.
Enter focus mode or full screen. Add calm background sound or recorded mechanical keyboard sounds when you want them. Install WriteMind on your phone or desktop and keep writing offline after the first online setup.
Your words, your device
WriteMind saves drafts in your browser on this device. Your document text is not sent to a cloud writing service, and coaching runs locally. There is no automatic sync between devices or browsers.
Use Library → Backup to download your documents. Use Restore to bring them into another browser; it replaces that browser’s library. You can also export a single formatted document.
Clearing site data removes locally saved drafts. Private browsing can discard them when you close it. Keep a backup of writing that matters.

They stay in the browser and site address where you wrote them. To move them to another device or browser, download a backup from Library and restore it there.
The WriteMind blog
WriteMind publishes guides to clear writing, focused drafting, and using local browser storage. Articles are written with AI assistance and checked against the app’s current features. Examples are illustrative, and technical explanations link to their sources.
We keep product limitations visible: a readability grade cannot verify meaning, and local storage is not a backup. If a guide misses a detail, send a correction to Neil@customappguy.com.
